Surf City XXIII is our most competitive and challenging conference of the year. Experienced delegates can go head-to-head debating some of the world's most pressing issues.

Registration and costs

Registration is due by December 8th, 2025. Register your delegation (school, club, or individual) below.

The fee is $50 per delegate and $10 per student advisor. Late registration will be accepted only if space permits. We highly encourage you to register as early as possible to secure spots for your delegates.

Preparation and research

Position papers are due January 25, 2026 by 11:59 pm to each committee's respective email in PDF Format. Research is an incredibly important aspect of Model United Nations and it's a facet we are proud to promote at Surf City XXIII. Every committee includes an extensive Topic Synopsis that provides an overview of the topic and a case study, along with questions and sources to help spark your own research. Surf City XXIII strongly encourages delegates to submit a position paper. Please reference our position paper format (click here). Note that delegates are still eligible for committee awards without submission of a position paper; however, they will not be considered for a research award.
